Alley View - Seattle Drypoint The artist produced this plate while standing at the entrance to an alleyway with a mirror and plate in one hand and tools in the other. This was a short time after Seattle had experienced a heavy earthquake. The artist was particularly interested in the scale of these large but somewhat vulnerable buildings. He was also drawn by the contrast between the old buildings and new skyscrapers. Size: 34cm x 48cm (66cm x 85cm framed). |
