Diffused Light over Mount’s Bay Whiteground Etching The artist was interested in holding onto a momentary glimpse of the ever-changing light over the Bay and around the Mount. He used the reflection in the large window of his mobile studio to reverse the image so that this proof can now be seen the correct way round. The home-made whiteground solution was liberally painted onto a sheet of zinc plate as an acid resist. Size: 48cm x 34cm (80cm x 69cm framed). |
