In the Shade

Drypoint engraving on aluminium.

Created in the grounds of Trelowarren Manor on the Lizard Peninsula . It was a very, very hot afternoon. An image was drawn into the soft metal plate, with a hard etching needle. Inspiration came from seeing the contrast of the dry heat on the grass and the hot wind meeting the cool shade under the trees.
